Missions
We are committed to ministry, not only within our congregation, but also within our local community and at the national and international level. Among our concerns are education and spiritual growth, the extension of the gospel, the shared life of community, and the promotion of peace and justice to all people. We desire to partner with those pursuing these things.
The following is a list (not exhaustive) of local, national, and international ministries and organizations supported by Albany Mennonite Church:
o A ten-month journey of service, learning, and spiritual growth for young adults ages 17-20
o Participants live together with group leaders and work in the local community
o October 2, 2010 at the Linn County Fair and Expo Center (Albany, OR)
o Proceeds benefit the worldwide service of Mennonite Central Committee, a relief, development, and peace organization serving more than 50 countries globally.
· The Festival of Hope (www.albanyfestivalofhope.net)
o May 22-23, 2010 at Linn-Benton Community College (Albany, OR)1)
o Raising funds to support local community non-profit agencies
· School and Health kits - Collected locally and distributed globally to those in need
